Playa Grote Knip
Playa Kenepa Grandi, often called Grote Knip, is Curaçao’s most photographed beach — a wide crescent of soft white sand framed by turquoise water and dramatic cliffs. It’s a public favorite, especially on weekends when locals gather for swimming and picnics.
From the cliffside lookout above the parking lot, the entire bay spreads out in a perfect cinematic frame — one of the island’s classic photo spots. Early morning, when the beach is still quiet, you can capture the contrast between bright sand, aquamarine shallows, and the darker blues rolling beyond the reef.
Snorkeling & Diving Note: The rocky edges of the bay hide coral formations and schools of reef fish, making it a good snorkel stop for beginners.
