Playa Lagun
Playa Lagun is a narrow, cliff-framed cove with calm, clear water and a loyal local following. The golden sand and peaceful bay make it one of Curaçao’s most inviting small beaches, often dotted with colorful fishing boats resting along the edges. It’s a favorite for snorkeling, with coral reefs, tropical fish, and turtles that often swim close to shore.
From the cliffs above, the turquoise channel stretches out below — one of the most cinematic views on the island. And just beside Bahia Restaurant, you’ll find the resident iguanas that have become a local attraction. They’re surprisingly friendly, often eating bread, lettuce, or cherries straight from visitors’ hands.
Snorkeling & Diving Note: A favorite snorkel spot for The Otra Guide team. Swim out to the “third rock on the left” — locals’ insider tip — for the best reef. The on-site dive shop has rental gear and tanks available.
