Kaya Kaya Street Party

August 23, 2025, from 4:00 PM until 2:00 AM, Otrobanda will once again become the beating heart of art, music, and culture during the eighth edition of Kaya Kaya. For the first time, the event will take place in this special part of the neighborhood: under the viaduct, across the parking area behind the bus stop, in the picturesque streets of the neighborhood, at Kura di Rif, Gallerosteeg, and part of Rifwaterstraat, in the Otrobanda Community Center area. At every corner, visitors can expect a new surprise.
A cultural, multicultural, and multidisciplinary explosion across 8 stages
Kaya Kaya is a movement that connects and celebrates Otrobanda. Spread across eight stages—including Homenahe Stage, Kurashi Stage, Ritmo Stage, and Skol Urbano—the event offers a mix of live music, DJs, theater, dance, and interactive artistic performances.
Art, discovery, and community experience
In addition to concerts and musical performances, visitors can explore our local food and craft market, discover surprises inside buildings transformed into arthouses, pop-up cocktail bars, and even take part in an interactive Masterplan Game to learn more and contribute to the future of Otrobanda.
Participate and contribute to the Kaya Kaya Movement
The Kaya Kaya Street Party is a destination event supported by the Curaçao Tourist Board (CTB), while also serving as a fundraiser for the Kaya Kaya Movement. Every visitor directly contributes to the transformation of Otrobanda.
Contributions can be made online via kayakaya.org or in person at Building Depot, Mensing’s Caminada, Ticketpoint Zeelandia, and Bario Hotel. General admission contributions are currently available, after which a different rate will apply for those who decide later to join the neighborhood celebration. Naturally, this depends on ticket availability.
