Nestled between horseshoe cliffs clustered with chic, sea-facing villas, Playa Lagun is a hidden gem for snorkelers, swimmers, and Instagramers. The colorful Fishing Boats bring in the fresh catch of the day for the restaurant, and their boats look great in photos. The tropical fish tend to stick to either side of the bay, with the big third rock on the left being our fave place to snorkel to watch the marine show. If you are lucky you will see the small school of about 15 Cuttlefish that move and change colors in perfect unison: it’s totally magical. Occasionally you can see a turtle, sea snakes, lionfish, or puffer fish.

The Bahia Bar & Restaurant is probably the best place on the Island to photograph huge Iguanas, and they will take food from your hand; if you want to win the Iguanas over 100%, bring some cherries with you.

Discover Lagun is another fun Restaurant with some truly eclectic, unusual, and tasty dishes on the menu. The Bahia Dive Shop is a good place to rent or buy equipment (masks, snorkels, sunscreen, etc.) and they lead great dive expeditions with an experienced team. This is totally a favorite beach for the Otra family; we always take our visiting friends.
