5 O'Clock Somewhere Bar & Grill

This is a sprawling and lively outdoor venue, with a great crew running it and a revolving cast of characters laughing around the bar. It’s located on the water right behind the Renaissance Hotel, overlooking the Cruise Ships pier. Excellent spot to meet for sunset drinks or if there is a sports event to catch on TV. Good opportunity for Instagram photos. They have a broad choice of bar snacks and frequently changing drink specials. Tip: keep an eye on their events, as they have some great live music nights.

91 Kaya Urban Restobar

We recently stopped by for dinner at this Rif Fort location, and found that when they say Ceviche – they mean ‘lots and lots of Ceviche’ – more types than you would ever expect on a menu – made with a Peruvian flair. It’s a great sharing menu. Surprisingly there was a large selection of Sushi available as well – mostly rolls, very generous in size. The atmosphere is relaxed and vibrant inside – and on the outer deck they have one of the best views out to sea and back at the Queen Emma Bridge and Waterfront. TIP: We love the Corn/Nuts that came before the meal and asked for more.

Amazonia Restaurant

Amazonia is a combination Hotel – Jungle Tour Attraction – Restaurant & Bar, and it excels at all levels. The architecture sets you in an ancient Mayan and Incan atmosphere of exotic animals, tropical drinks, and feasting. You’ll find a wide array of dining options, with the big hit being the 10 types of meat combo that includes Picanha, Rib Eye, Tenderloin, Spicy Lomito and much more. Though meat is the big sell, there is quite a variety of Vegan and Vegetarian options as well. It also has a giant Salad Bar – one of the few of its kind on the Island. It’s a great place to take the family, go with a group of friends, or for a date night. The service is friendly, fun and very efficient.

Ami Cake

This brightly colored little shop in the Eden Mall courtyard is packed with delicious cakes and baked sweets that will delight any dessert aficionado. The small store, which looks like a gift-wrapped present, offers a fun selection for anyone with a sweet tooth. While there’s no seating inside, you can enjoy your treats at the courtyard seating. You’re sure to be a hero if you bring one of these delights home or show up with it at a party.

Angus Steakhouse & Bar

This is far more than a Steak House. It has a wide variety of Seafood dishes including Lobster and Sushi and if that isn’t enough, they have Pastas and Chicken on the menu too. The menu accommodates all sorts of price ranges as well, which is always a bonus, and the servings tend to be really big… so, there is lots of choice here for everyone, in a family friendly atmosphere. The venue has a Western-meets-Island vibe. Often there is interesting live music and lots of chatter. The staff is friendly and helpful….Oh, and the cocktails are big and good too.

Asis Fruits Wagen

The friendly owner makes great Organic Fruit and Vegetable Smoothies and Coconut Ice Cream. This roadside stop is a one-of-a-kind island experience located conveniently on Caracasbaaiweg, on your way to or from Jan Theil. Not really a place to sit and eat, but as an ‘on-the-go treat’ this is a good one to know about – and you can’t beat the pricing. Tip: Shop for your week's fresh Vegetables and Fruit while here.

Bahia Beach Bar & Restaurant

This Beach Bar sits on the clifftop overlooking the turquoise waters, colorful fishing boats, and sandy beach of Playa Laguna. The restaurant is a popular spot for snorkelers, divers, and sunbathers who discover this quiet bay and stop by to grab a drink and a bite at any time of day. However, it's probably best known for the large family of friendly iguanas that can be fed by hand while you eat. Order a leafy salad and share it with them, and you’ll have a friend. Bring them some cherries, and they’ll love you for life. We love this beach and often stop in for a drink and snack.

Bali Curacao

This is a large and inviting restaurant and bar conveniently located off the main road to the West Point Beaches. They serve homemade Indonesian, Thai and Surinamese dishes, all with Caribbean ingredients. We stop here often for a bite and a drink on the way home from the beach, and always enjoy it. Great appetizers for snacking and large rice and noodle dishes for sharing.

Baoase Culinary Beach Restaurant

This top-drawer restaurant is located on the perfectly manicured beachfront of the Baoase Luxury Resort Hotel. It is well known as one of the premier epicurean establishments on the Island. Executive Chef René Klop combines French techniques with tropical influences and Asian flavors. We’ve found the food to be excellent and the service too. If you are ‘a foodie’ or a wine lover and willing to pay for top notch fare, then this is your place. Don’t forget to make a reservation in advance, as it books up quickly and is full most days.

Bario Urban Street Food

The Bario Hotel's food area is eclectic, electric, and infused with an artistic vibe that its owner Kurt brilliantly conjured up by arranging food container restaurants around a common ground. The result is that there is something for everyone on one or more of the menus. Brightly painted and bestowed with bespoke and vintage furnishing, Bario has a charm and energy of its own. It compels you to wander and explore the grounds, taking Instagram photos as you go. The tables are thoughtfully crammed together creating a shared community vibe that will soon have you talking with your neighbor and exchanging numbers. From the small open concept stalls, you'll find a variety of local street food with an international twist and taste, plus craft cocktails with fresh local fruits, made from scratch! Each window has its own theme, that shifts and morphs with a semi pop-up rotation of chef teams. Sit back and enjoy the yard party celebration of Curaçao. Kurt and the Bario want people to experience local food, history, music and art. Come by and enter a different world!

Bar P is one of the most popular bars/clubs for the student, intern, and digital nomad crowds in Curacao. Check out Tuesdays for fun games with prizes. Thursday is “Red Cup” night, where you can buy a refillable cup at the door and get free refills between 9-10pm. Bar P creates an alluring atmosphere with entrancing music played late into the evening.

Batik Asli Indonesian Restaurant

This cozy Indonesian restaurant is tucked into the inner courtyard of Eden Mall. It’s a great spot for lunch, dinner, or takeaway. There’s air-conditioned seating inside and a lovely patio outside. The owner, management, and staff are incredibly friendly and happy to help you navigate the menu of authentic Asian and Indonesian cuisine. They also offer a good selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes to choose from. It’s a perfect place to visit with a group of friends who enjoy sharing dishes.

The menu is updated often to highlight fresh produce, locally caught fish, and ingredients carefully selected by the chef. The seaside location and contemporary/casual ambiance also make Bayside a great choice.

Located in a waterfront boutique hotel, it offers a mix of international and local cuisine with Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and delightful choices in between. Much like the hotel itself, there is a casual elegance that has a lot of thought behind every detail. The unique presentation of the culinary delights is curiously unexpected and may make you smile, even before you take a bite. Savor the magic of it all – we do.

Bijna Thuis

In Dutch ‘Bijna Thuis’ means “Almost Home” - and that's what you can say here, if anyone calls asking “where are you?”. This is the type of neighborhood bar where everyone knows one another by name! It’s a popular place for late-night drinks and a place to watch a Formula 1 race at 6AM on a Sunday morning, or other major sports events. Most of the time you will find the music controller in the bar, and anyone can choose a song. It’s a pretty laid-back hangout bar, though on the weekends they have popular local bands playing and it can get really crowded, and that just adds to the ‘Cheers’ style atmosphere.

This well-crafted gem is a Brooklyn inspired gastro bar where big city vibes meld into a friendly neighborhood atmosphere. The interior is chic, contemporary and cozy. This is the type of place to come with a group of friends or on a date. The menu is thoughtfully conjured up for shareable gastronomic food, to be paired with designer cocktails or a great glass of wine. We love the unique craft cocktails at BKLYN… so read the drink list, for unique concoctions. If you can't pick a drink, ask the bartenders for suggestions - or just describe what you are thinking of, and let them surprise you. Everyone who works here is a pro that loves what they do. Speaking of love - Martin the owner loves music, especially the innovative hip-hop vibe that came out of Brooklyn New York back in the late 80s, thus the name BKLYN. So if you are a music aficionado listen to the tracks playing in the BG and you'll smile at the 718 borough sounds. "Spread Love it's the Brooklyn way!"

BlackJack

Part of the Saint Tropez Hotel, this is one of our go-to Sports Bars to watch a game or event in air conditioning, or on their brand new outdoor patio. The staff is great and can whip up fun cocktails or an ice-cold beer. You don’t have to be a sports fan, as it’s also a great hang-out spot for friends. The food is far more inspired than you would expect in a sports bar, which makes it a frequent destination for our team…and being right in front of the Saint Tropez Ocean Club, you can bounce back and forth between bars.

Blend Beach Bar

This Restaurant/Bar is conveniently located right in the middle of the main beach in Blue Bay. It has a ‘Beach Bites’ style menu, specializing in Pizza, but it also includes Fruit Smoothies that can be served right to your beach chair. We like that you can start your day here with coffee and end it with cocktails and music at night. Feeling hungry? Happy hours meld into music nights, especially on the weekends which start with Happy Hour Fridays. You’ll find Blend is a great place to catch up with friends or meet new ones.
