Hofi Mango
As you head toward Westpunt, watch for the bright yellow gates and signs for Hofi Mango - a nature reserve and park that feels like a hidden chapter of Curaçao’s history. Once a plantation from the early 1700s, the land is now a lush escape filled with 300-year-old mango trees, winding trails, native gardens, and peaceful lookouts. There's even a colony of peacocks that might just show off for your camera.
Climb to the top of the hill and you’ll find the Hands of God sculpture by local artist Giovanni Abath, framing Mount Christoffel in the distance like a Spielberg set-up - perfect for an Instagram moment. Along the trails, you’ll pass the island’s only historic Dutch-style sugar mill and the Freedom Wall, reminders that Curaçao’s beauty is rooted in its stories.
The park is owned and run by brothers Jandino and Kenneth Asporaat, who’ve brought fresh vision and care to the space. A zipline is currently in the works, and the on-site restaurant, Kultura Kòrsou, is already an Otra Team favorite - serving up local dishes in a laid-back, open-air setting. (Tip: make a reservation.)
